Gr7 Titanium Tube

Gr7 titanium alloy has the property that it cannot be strengthened through heat treatment. It is usually used in the annealed state. It has excellent thermal stability, thermal strength, and excellent weldability. It can be welded by various methods under inert gas protection, but type I titanium alloy has a hexagonal lattice structure and less slip system during plastic deformation, therefore plastic deformation is harsher than other types of titanium alloy because of its low room temperature strength. Gr7 titanium tube can work at 500 ℃ for a long time and can be used to make engine compressor discs, blades, and other parts.

Gr7 titanium alloy tube (titanium palladium alloy) has excellent corrosion resistance in an oxidizing medium. It also has certain corrosion resistance to reducing media, especially to improve its crevice corrosion resistance in medium with high chloride ion concentration.

Gr7 titanium tube contains 0.2% palladium. Gr7 titanium palladium alloy in 5% boiling sulfuric acid can reduce the corrosion rate from 48.26mm/a (industrial pure titanium) to 0.508mm/a, and improve the corrosion resistance by about 95 times. The alloy has good processing, forming, and welding properties, but it contains the precious metal palladium, and the cost is high.

Ti-Pd alloys include Ti-0.2Pd, Ti-0.15Pd, and Ti-0.13Pd, of which Ti-0.2Pd is widely used in reactors, towers, autoclaves, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, centrifuges, separators, pipes, pipe fittings, and electrolytic tanks in various highly corrosive environments.

Technical requirement

1. The chemical composition of titanium and titanium alloy pipes shall comply with the provisions of ASTM B337. When the demander re-inspects, the allowable deviation of chemical composition shall comply with the provisions of ASTM B337.

2. The ASTM B337 requirements must be followed regarding the allowable deviation of pipe outer diameter.

3. The allowable deviation of pipe wall thickness is not applicable to titanium welded pipe.

4. The length of pipes shall meet the requirements.

5. The pipe's fixed length or multiple lengths must fall within the range of its non-fixed length, with a 10 mm maximum permissible deviation. The multiple lengths shall also be included in the cutting amount of the pipe, and each cutting amount shall be 5mm.
